Some members are having issues trying to get to the Weight Lifting journal. I have resolved part of the issue and will continue to work other bugs/issues over the next 24 hours.
Gym Journal is also having issues accepting new members, which will be resolved as well within 24 hours. On a comical note, only one person will be allowed to sucessfully join Gym Journal today.

Hey Stu good job getting the top 10 list back up. Was wondering how hard it would be to create a drop down or something on the top 10 list so we could select other exercises. That first day it broke I noticed you could see every exercise in a top 10 form. It was interesting seeing where you fair in other categories. Can you do a top 10 for cardio? That way you could give some street cred to those tri-athletes out there.

Top Ten for Cardio .. but the only thing that could be displayed really is time, since the distance/level/etc. is subjective to the inputter.

brettwhite .. if you can think of a way to create a top 10 for cardio .. I'll see about adding it .. but I don't think a simple display of time would be any fun .. do you know of any "calculations" that could be created to make a Top Ten in Cardio a little more fun?

Yeah it's tough to measure. The endurance athletes marks would have to be a set distance in a certain time to keep them all comparable. The recreational sports like baseball and volleyball etc.. could only be calculated by the amount played per week or month. I am definitely not the expert or even that knowledgeable for the endurance since most of my workouts are with weights. The reason I brought it up as a viewable in the top 10 list is because a guy at work swims and wanted to see what the top 10 swimmers times were for certain strokes. Had to tell him you can't do it. So I thought I would throw it up as a suggestion. Looks like you would have to add more categories to the database to make it happen. The reason for bringing up making other lifts viewable in the top 10 is my wife wanted to see what the other women were lifting excluding the men and I told her you can't do it from my account. Yes she could set up her own account and go from there but then she is not interested in seeing bench press, shoulder shrugs and bicepts but would rather see abs, legs and other exercises not listed in the top 10. If the categories were in a drop down list you could select the categories you are interested in and then display the top 10 for your own interest.

You've got some valid points, I can put it on the TODO list to make the top 10 weights list selectable .. but as far as cardio goes .. I don't see any short-term solution .. though it would be cool if you were a swimmer to virtually compete.
I'll keep thinking about what can be done with cardio ..

Hey Stu if your putting a TODO list together let me run a couple of ideas past you. On the select food page can you have a quick select for the top 10 or 20 food items? I'm sure a lot of people have some food items that they have on a daily basis. Instead of copying from another day or searching for coffee for example it could appear as a quick fill on the food search page. On the weight input page can you make the new exercise appear at the top of the list and not the bottom? I'll put in 10+ exercises and after about 3 in full mode you have to scroll to the bottom to input the information then scroll to the top to pick the next exercise. If it was at the top you would just move right to input weight and reps.

#1 .. you would like the food search page to "initially" show you a recent list of food items (as opposed to a blank page).
#2 .. unfortunately the assumption that I made was to add the exercise to your journal at the bottom .. cause in my mind if I did Squats, Deads, and Rows .. I would first click Squats, then Deads, then Rows .. that way the exercises in my journal match my workout (unless I don't correctly follow what you are saying).

On #1 exactly the food search box should be the first thing on the page but below it instead of blank space you could have there most frequent food appear in a quick fill list. Example Coffee how many cups and then enter the info. It would be quicker and you would not have to go to the day before to copy items.
On #2 I have never entered my weight the way you do it ( I am going to give it a try tonight). I think your right if I use quick fill view and pick all my exercises first and then fill in the weight /reps I would not have to do all the scrolling.
