Some Website Changes

I've recently uploaded 2 changes to Gym Journal.

1. The Summary page was changed from a daily summary to a monthly view. To view the daily summary simply click the date on the calendar. I changed this so that you can easily see trends or patterns in your workouts or eating habits.

2. The weight lifting journal input page was cleaned up a little by grouping the available exercises into their appropriate muscle groups. This should help to find your weight lifting exercises easier.

Nice touches.

Any chance of getting the refresh/update routine to process properly?

Example: If I do a set of 10 @ 150, and I have my next workout set to calculate 6 reps at 83% of max, if I refresh it should give me 6@165. But it gives me 6@150. :-X

I'm not near my code right now .. but I'll check that out when I get a chance ...

zjunky - I still haven't figured out your 1RM refresh bug yet - I'll see if I can figure it out tomorrow.

Also, I develop with FireFox and noticed today that some of the new changes aren't being displayed appropriately in Internet Explorer. So I would recommend FireFox as a browser but will try to fix the issues with Internet Explorer.

I've also uploaded some more Avatars to try and get a wider variety.

Alright "Z" .. I can't duplicate your issue. I entered a 1RM of 10/150 = 199 .. I then entered a set of 6 reps at 83% = 6/83% (in the workout routine builder) .. I then opened up a printable version of the routine ... and got 6/135 for my workout set.

If you can see anything I missed .. let me know and I'll dig in again.

Still continuing with minor improvements to the Gym Journal website ... if you noticed recently I've been working to improve GJ's input validations .. most notably within the Weight Lifting module.

Hey man sweet changes, I have not been on here for awhile due to a shoulder injury. All is good now and I am just about clear to go back to iron, but when I was adding and adjusting a new routine, I could not create a new exercise. I tried to add barbell side bends and rack chins based off other exercises and also based off nothing, and it would not work... just froze and highlighted the new exercise input box red. See screen shot below, thanks for all your hard work!

Sorry about that guys, I added a 'caching' mechanism and tested with cardio first ... for the short run the work around is a logout/login so you haven't lost any data ... I'm not around the code today so I will have to fix tomorrow.

The caching mechanism has been fixed and there was a data integrity bug with it .. so you may have lost data for today's inputs (only for Cardio).

Thanks Gusto .. to give everyone a head's up .. I'll be implementing a similar caching mechanism to the weight lifting journal on Monday .. hopefully this time it works right-out-of-the-box

Oh well .. kinda worked out of the box .. seems there are some workout calculation errors with inputting from a workout routine with regards to inputting a weight lifting workout .. should be resolved w/i a few hours.

** fixed -- just let me know if you see anything suspicious
