Food Journal vs Daily Plate

I'm new to gymjournal. I like this site a lot so far, especially that it's free and very customizable. I would like to use it for tracking calories, but there aren't many foods in the database. For those of you who use the food journal here, how do you use it? Did it take you a long time to input the foods/meals that you now eat regularly?

All of the food in Gym Journal is "generic" .. for instance you can search for "cheeseburger" rather than Burger King Cheeseburger and "soda" instead of Pepsi .. also as you add food to your journal the system will remember what was entered and place those at the top of your search list making future entries faster.
To make inputs faster, you can create meals or copy food from one day to another.

Thanks for the info (and quick response). I guess it gets easier as you use it. btw, I think I posted this in the wrong forum!
