Ok most of my fat is around my stomach and ass, big surprise. Anyway I'm a male 5'10" 162 pounds. I do a full body workout split into 3 days with a 30 minute stationary bike ride on the days inbetween. I do 3 sets of 10 when lifting. I just used this sites journal, awesome by the way, and It says i'm at a caloric delta of -1655 for all of yesterday. I want to burn the rest of the fat on my stomach but also build a little muscle mass everywhere and get a "cut" Bruce Lee look other than looking like Arnold or the Rock. I'm at 166% of protein intake but around 50% on carbs. Do I need to increase my calorie intake to get to the goal im wanting? I'm just worried if i increase my calories to much im just going to start getting fatter. Basically I want to see my abs not have them covered in a layer of fat but be strong. Also should i stop the cardio, keep it like it is, or should i do it every day? How do you record sit-ups, how do i figure the weight involved? Would it be half my weight then the 3 sets of 20 that I do?
oh yeah. should i stay away from butter completely. I haven't touched the stuff in about a month. But putting some on whole wheat toast would help to consume some more carbs. Yes I know butter isn't carbs but it would make the toast better. :)
Thanks in advance.

first off, i am not a trainer or a dietition. i do know that just by dividing your meals into 6 times a day will speed up your metabalism. what i did was, i ate what i usually eat and divided into 6 meals that by itself helped me and kept me motivated.i made sure my 2 largest meals where in the morning and after my workout. when i got used to eating that way i started concentrated on protein, carbs, and calories. i study jeet kune do and also want to be cut like bruce lee. my goal is 165lbs @ 8-10% bf (i am 5 11 @170 bf at 12.5)my abs are starting to show but from what i read , you at least have to be at 8-10% for your 6pack to show. i hope this helps.

Hi there
Not having seen your actual routine I cannot comment on your exercises. If you would like me to please post your actual routine. As for your cardio, I would recommend a minimum of 45 minutes for fat burning using the HIIT's method. You can read more about it here http://www.intervaltraining.net/hiit.html.
I cannot comment on your diet either you will have to post it for me to make any comments, but what the other member said about small meals every few hours is correct. You need to eat regularly, every 3 hrs or so to keep your metabolism burning body fat. Your meals should have roughly a split of 40% protein, 40% carbs, 20% fats to cut bearing in mind that :
1g of protein=4 calories 1g of carbs=4 calories 1g of fat=9 calories
Your diet is VERY important is you want to see your abs. The rule of thumb is to cook all your own food, no butter, cooking oil, cakes, ice-cream backed and fried food.
Record sit-ups with no additional weight as sit ups with no weight.
Stay away form the butter and the toast. Eat some oatmeal brown rice and tuna instead instead.
Feel free to message me if you want any help.
