Version 7.0 was released today and with it a new look and some simple changes. AJAX is now utilized throughout most of the site. There's not much else to report on unfortunately, but here are some other changes:

•   Added Whole Body as a Muscle Group, and added Cleans to the global Exercise List

•   Added the ability to use a fixed 1RM in the routine builder.

•   Added a printable copy of your Daily Gym Journal entries.

•   Updated the Journal Notes page, and incorporated into a calendar. Very nice, you'll have to check it out here.

Version 6.0 is here! Sep 10, 2006
Most of the enhancements centered around the backend architecture, as well as front-end aesthetics. But there are things that should be noted. Such as:

• All journal reports can be exported to MS Excel.

• The weekly summary page, now combines the Cardio Activity, Weight Lifting, and Nutrition summaries into one table.

• Most of the analysis graphs were updated to reflect the data being represented.

• All date textboxes now have a drop-down calendar to select a date from.

• The forum changed to a blog due the small amount of traffic is was generating.

• A friends list was created to encourage workout partners sharing information through Gym Journal.

• An existing feature was fixed; You can search for food based on the number of fat grams, or based on a percentage value. This is handy when you are trying to find an item of food for your diet that is 20% fat, 30% carbs, and 50% protein.

Sharing Your Gym Journal with Other Members May 17, 2006
After a couple of months of work, Gym Journal members now have the option to share their selected journals with other members of Gym Journal. A Gym Journal member can select to share their Gym Journal with no-one, everyone, or just a select list of friends. As an added feature, the display of a journal can be turned on or off at any point in time. For instance, if a member does not wish to share out their Weight Lifting Journal, that journal can be simply turned 'off'.
